About Dr. Rajesh Bindal
Dr. Rajesh Bindal is one of the few board-certified Neurosurgeons practicing in Sugar Land, Texas. A strong educational foundation marked his early years in medicine. He received both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Northwestern University in Chicago, where he was part of the Honors Program in Medical Education.
His commitment to excellence during this time culminated with his induction into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
After finishing his academic education, Dr. Bindal spent the next six years undergoing residency training in neurological surgery and acquiring all the necessary expertise to start a successful career in neurosurgery. Upon completion of his residency, he moved back to Houston, where he grew up, and started a private practice in 2001 at the Texas Medical Center.
In 2005, Dr. Bindal moved his practice to Sugar Land, Texas, as the first full-time neurosurgical practice in Fort Bend County. He recognized the need for advanced spine treatments in this community and helped develop the Methodist Sugar Land Spine Center, serving as its Director from 2009 to 2013.
Dr. Bindal was also instrumental in establishing the Methodist Sugar Land Neuroscience Program in Fort Bend County. He later served as the program’s surgical Director from 2013 to 2017, helping patients to access state-of-the-art neurological care close to home.
